Denis Rtishchev is a modern Canadian artist of Russian origin. He is a professional artist. He graduated with honors from the University of Arts in Moscow, the faculty of painting and received the specialty of artist-painter. Denis was born on April 25, 2001 in Moscow, Russia. He is the winner of various competitions and olympiads in drawing. (Prize places everywhere).
Due to delayed speech development, the speech therapist recommended that Denis' parents take him up drawing. So, at 3.5 years old, being a completely non-verbal person, Denis began to color pictures on paper and the computer. Soon, he could already draw shapes, objects, and characters from his favorite cartoons.
At the age of 5, Denis began to speak his first words and began attending an art studio for children, where he mastered the basic principles of drawing and coloristics. Later, Denis studied in various art studios, drew with his mother, an artist, mastered Chinese painting, and participated in competitions and olympiads.
At the age of 12, as a gifted child, Denis was accepted to the Institute of Arts for the main course of study - a painting course, on an equal basis with adults, he became a student, which is considered a big exception.
Denis is a very kind person by nature, who loves animals and the world around him. Therefore, the main direction in his painting has become drawing animals using different techniques, in different styles, with different colors. Since Denis is a professional artist, nothing holds him back, and he uses exactly the paint or surface that he considers necessary for his new painting.
Moving to Canada influenced the development of Denis's work. For example, Chinese painting faded into the background, and the desire to paint fantasy animals with thick paints using a palette knife came to the fore. Previously, Denis painted only realistic animals.
In 2018, Denis received a diploma of professional education as an artist.
Now Denis works in the style of fantasy, surrealism and postimpressionism. But Denis always paints realistic animals with very soulful looks. In the looks of these animals you can read surprise, longing, sadness and joy. It is the ability to convey emotions on canvas that makes Denis a unique artist who not only conveys form and color to viewers, but also feelings, which is very valuable in modern painting.
Since April 2019, Denis, together with his mother Natalya Rtishcheva, has been opening a private gallery and starting to work in the "ARTKELA" gallery-workshop in Quebec City, Canada.
The main direction in Denis's painting is fantasy paintings and animals. Denis is very kind and loves animals very much, so he always makes them with lively eyes and soul.
