This landscape was painted on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in the evening when a long barge was sailing slowly. The slow evening was drawing to a close and the colors around him quickly changed color, becoming darker and darker. I was that evening with my tablet on the banks of this river and painted a landscape of a milky sky and a jelly river, but the barge disturbed the peace and at the very last moment, I decided to add it to this silence of the landscape, even focus on it and put this barge to the center of my painting. This landscape was painted by me on the banks of the St. Lawrence River on a July evening in the Parc de la Plage-Jacques-Cartier.
