In the summer, my boys and I went to the Atlantic coast of France, to the coast where the Canadian troops landed during the Second World War. We visited the museum, looked around. The seashore turned out to be very shallow, with sand, and at that moment in time when we were there, there were a lot of huge flat white shells on the coast, more like saucers. I made myself comfortable and captured this moment, this day. Gouache on paper.
